Print Screen only on the active window is possible!

Common knowledge on using the Print Screen (at least for me) is that you just press the Print Screen key and paste whatever it is shown on your screen to a graphics editor like Paint, right? This suits you if you intend to print screen the entire screen. But what if you only want to print screen one window? There is a way!

Let me demonstrate:


Step 1 : Activate the desired window to print screen. For this purpose, I made the calculator window active.

Step 2 : Press Alt + Print Screen key. Here's how it looks like in my screen:

Step 3 : Paste the image on a graphics editor. I used Paint:

Voila! Only the calculator window was pasted.

Welcome to Happy Ducky blog!

I have once again joined the blogging world, but this time it will be for a different purpose. I will not be treating this blog as a personal diary. I’m taking blogging to the next level. So here’s why…

The reason for blogging

I’ve created this blog to test myself if I can earn money from blogging. Yes, I am going to be very forward and honest here; times are tough and I want to earn more. And to earn money from my blog, I have to post entries that are relevant to a wider audience, that goes beyond my personal network of people.

I don’t want to sound like I’m just creating this blog to earn money. This is a challenge for me to hopefully become a better writer because blogging will give me that discipline and practice. I also feel that blogging adds value to a person’s self-awareness. It stems from being more aware of one’s thoughts and activities because it can serve as a possible entry for the next blog post.

Topics you’ll read in this blog

For starters, I’ll be blogging on topics that interest me. They vary widely from food (cooking, restaurants), technology (netbooks, mobile vas industry), movies, and books. I know that good blogs must have a theme/focus on a single topic, but I’m not quite there yet. Right now I’m just in the process of exploring at what topics that would captivate my future readers.

Happy Ducky and quacks – what is this about?

Some of my friends call me “ducky”, and my mother’s term of endearment for me is associated with ducks (I’m not revealing what the term is!). Hence, the blog name. Let me share to you what I mean by “quack”:

Dictionary defintion –>

quack (kwăk) n. : The characteristic sound uttered by a duck.

My definition –>

quack (kwăk) v. : To convey thoughts and opinons as if to speak.

Ok so you get what this means now? To quack is just my term to mean speaking up, because well, I’m the Happy Ducky! :p
